Peek can show all excluded items in a teal color, which means at least one of the above filters is set and configured to remove it from view. "Excluded" items are not visible, due to a Display Filter, Name Filter, or Other Filter currently in place. "Ignored" files should still be visible, they are just black/equal coloring because they have been set to ignored, even though they would normally show as different with the current criteria.

And, after searching the help for "Ignored", the text there yields very few clues about how to identify / find Ignored files again.Įxcluded and Ignored statuses are different ways to mark files. I just think this is something that could be better implemented. But even then if I click on the file name, the context menu doesn't allow me to Un-Exclude it (or in more proper English "Remove exclusion" from it) again. I can see that a file is Excluded by the "Filtered out" color it gets in the View -> Show All view. In BC2 I tried using the Exclude file option, but wasn't satisfied with the rather long-winded way of Un-Exclude"-ing that file again (via Session Settings -> Name Filters). Or perhaps a way of identifying this when Peek mode (from the toolbar, which is View-> Suppress filters in the menus) is activated (which removes other filters in the Show Differences view, but doesn't use a unique color scheme coding for ignored files). Maybe a grayed out icon in the center column between folders where the red not-equal sign appears.

It would be nice to have a way of seeing this some other way. If I am in the View -> Show All view, then I see the file, and have to right click on the file (assuming I remember which one(s) I've ignored, or to go through and manually look for clues in the file timestamp and/or size) to right-click again and remove the active check next to "Ignored" again. If I am in the View -> Show Differencecs view, there's no way of knowing that I've ignored that file, because it's gone from the list.
